Along with the academic activities, MIMIT organizes cultural activities (Music, Dance, Theatre, Fine Arts and Literary) for all round development of the students. With regards to this, the institute orchestrates an Intra Institute Talent Search Competition every year to hunt for the talented students in various cultural events. The winners of Talent Search are given opportunity to perform in the Youth Festival. The Institute organizes various workshops and training programs regularly to improve the co-curricular talent of the students.

Achievements
- MIMIT won overall trophy in IKGPTU West Zone Youth Festival 2019 by bagging 10 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals; also participated in IKGPTU Inter Zonal youth Festival 2019 and bagged Silver Medal in Light Vocal Indian, Western Solo Song & Indian Group Song and Bronze Medals in Western Group Song & Group Shabad.
- MIMIT won overall trophy in IKGPTU West Zone Youth Festival 2018 by bagging 12 Gold, 4 Silver and 7 Bronze medals; also participated in IKGPTU Inter Zonal youth Festival 2018 and bagged Gold Medal in Western Solo Song, Silver Medal in Western Group Song and Bronze Medals in Gidha, Group Song Indian, Light Vocal Indian & Clay Modelling.
- The Institute organized the First Youth Festival of MRSPTU, Bathinda in 2015 and bagged the Runners Up trophy; also represented the University in North Zone Inter Varsity Youth Festival 2015 organised at PAU, Ludhiana by participating in Musical Items.
- The Institute also organized the Second & Third Youth Festival of MRSPTU, Bathinda in November, 2016 & 2017 and bagged the Runners Up Trophies both the times; further, represented the University in North Zone Inter Varsity Youth Festival in 2016 at Kanpur by participating in One Act Play and in 2017 at Ambala by participating in Folk Dance and Western Singing.
- The Institute also organized the First Zonal Youth Festival of IKG Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar in 2002 and has won Overall trophy six times and Runners Up trophy two times till date.
- The Institute has won Runners Up Trophy in IKG Punjab Technical University Inter Zonal Youth Festivals three times in 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2015-16.
- The Institute Bagged the Runners Up Trophy in Scintilla 2016, technical cum cultural fest organized by AIET FARIDKOT sponsored by ISTE. Also the winner of overall Cultural and Technical trophies in Scintilla 2015 & 2013.
